Current Conditions:
Temperature: -3°F
Feels Like: -20°F
Wind:  Southwest @ 10 mph
Humidity: 68%
Pressure: 1024.1 mb é

Clear skies remain, as do chilly temperatures. Clear skies have persisted the last few days as this cold streak continues. The winds and windchill have made for much colder temperatures, with the current windchill bringing us down to about
-20°F. We are supposed to see a bump in the temperature over the next few days, bringing the possibility for snowy precipitation. This most likely means that a low pressure system is going to be moving through the area, or at least affecting the area. Enjoy the weekend of mild, bearable cold, and brace yourselves for a chilly start to the coming week!

A very weak low pressure system is moving through the area, with its center down around southern Illinois and Indiana. A low pressure system is developing in the upper atmosphere above the current high pressure system.

The polar jet stream is not having much of an effect on the lower portions of the country. It is influencing the upper Midwest a little, bringing with it the chilly temperatures that we have been experiencing.
