We've been experiencing a decent day in the Chippewa Valley today! Temperatures in the low teens with light winds have led to decent conditions. Mostly clear skies and lack of precipitation have been consistent, and will continue to be consistent for at least the next few days. A high pressure system is moving in, bringing with it a few days worth of chilly temperatures with winds consistently in the 5-15 mph range. A noteworthy thing to look for in the coming week would be a potential break in the arctic oscillation. This means that the current path of the polar jet stream would essentially break, allowing for warm air to push upwards through tropical jet streams. This could lead to warm temperatures in the mid to high 30s for a couple of days in the coming week. Let's cross our fingers and hope that that is the case!
