Current Conditions:

An overcast day with some precipitation will be the trend for the next couple of days. We have had some light sprinkles on and off for a good part of the day, but this should clear for the rest of the day. Over the weekend we should see a general cooling of temperatures and rain showers for the better portion of the weekend. It should be a good weekend to stay inside a enjoy the rainy weather!

This is a pressure map for the country. The stationary front has not moved much from yesterday, as the rain belt is still hanging on along the front. The cold front that is going to be pushing down from the north and can be seen in the north portion of this map.

This shows why the Midwest should be seeing a cooldown over the next 3-4 days, as we are sitting in a trough of the subpolar jet.

This shows the current jet stream trend over the country. It appears as though a trough is deepening over our area, which is projected to happen within the next few days.

This is a surface map of the Midwest. The eastern half is much more overcast than the western half. Wind seems to be tracking in many different directions, as there are a few different pressure systems affecting the area.

This sounding from Minneapolis, Minnesota shows the atmospheric conditions in the area. The KI value is higher today, saying that there is a chance for non-severe storms today.
